Kingsley Roofing London is developing at a fast rate, working with some of the most respected names in the construction sector and partnering with some of the largest main contractors in the UK. We operate across the Commercial, Leisure, Industrial, Education, Retail and Public Sector markets, with our client base growing monthly as we expand into new areas.
Due to this growth, we are now looking to hire an experienced Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor with a background in Construction, Building Envelope or Roofing projects, to take ownership of the commercial function across our project portfolio. This is a senior role within the business, holding full commercial responsibility for a portfolio of contracts from pre-construction through to final account, with a high level of Main Contractor relationship management.
Role Responsibilities- Take full commercial ownership of allocated projects, including cost control, valuations, and final accounts.
- Prepare, submit and negotiate interim payment applications and variations.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, orders, and payments in line with contract terms.
- Review contract documentation to identify commercial risk and ensure terms are understood and protected.
- Produce accurate cost/value reconciliations and report on project profitability to senior management.
- Support the Estimating team with pricing, programme, and tender commercial input.
- Attend client and Main Contractor meetings as the commercial point of contact.
- Work closely with Contracts Managers and Site Managers to ensure commercial and operational alignment.
- Manage cash flow, retentions, and final account settlement across the project portfolio.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation in line with company procedures.

Qualifications- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor within Construction, Building Envelope, or Roofing projects.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (RICS membership desirable).
- Strong understanding of contract law, JCT/NEC forms of contract, and commercial risk management.
- Confident negotiator with a track record of managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple live contracts simultaneously.
- Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
