We are working with a multinational retail business with a significant UK presence and an established office in Yorkshire. The business is seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join its in-house legal team at an exciting stage of growth. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a broad litigation portfolio while also expanding your remit into wider regulatory and risk areas, making it ideal for a litigator looking to develop a more rounded in-house profile.
The Role
- Manage and oversee a range of contentious matters, including commercial disputes, consumer claims and regulatory issues
- Instruct and manage external counsel where appropriate
- Provide practical, commercially focused advice to internal stakeholders
- Play a key role in developing the legal function’s involvement in areas such as:
- Compliance and regulatory risk
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
- Sanctions
- Data protection and privacy

- A qualified solicitor with a strong litigation background (private practice or in-house)
- Commercially minded, with the ability to translate legal risk into clear business advice
