An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high-performing Senior Legal Counsel to join the Group Legal team at a dynamic, multinational FTSE250 business. Headquartered in London, this organisation operates on a global scale and is undergoing significant transformation—offering the perfect platform for an ambitious lawyer to make a real impact.
The Opportunity
As Senior Legal Counsel , you\’ll sit at the heart of the organisation, supporting Group-level legal and compliance matters that reach across continents. Reporting directly to the General Counsel and based in a collaborative Head Office, you’ll enjoy a warm, inclusive culture while contributing to high-profile projects and global initiatives.
Your Role Will Include:
⚖️ Legal Work
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial contracts and NDAs at Group level
- Supporting Finance and Tax teams with ancillary agreements and parent-company guarantees
- Coordinating management of the global trade mark portfolio and other IP matters
- Advising on litigation issues—in the UK and internationally
- Providing legal input on group restructurings and intragroup reorganisations
- Managing external counsel relationships and handling ad hoc legal queries
âś… Compliance & Ethics
- Contributing to the global ethics and compliance programme, including policy development, training, and communications
- Providing practical support in incident response and investigations
- Driving digital innovation within the legal function, including AI adoption and process efficiencies
What We\’re Looking For
- UK-qualified lawyer with ideally 5–7 years’ PQE
- Solid training from a top-tier private practice, ideally complemented by in-house experience
- Or straight from private practice with a corporate, commercial or commercial litigation top tier practice
- Confidence working across commercial contracts, corporate matters, and litigation
- Interest or experience in compliance, ethics, or data protection (a plus, not essential)
- Strong commercial instincts, with the agility to adapt and learn on the job
- A collaborative, hands-on team player who thrives in a dynamic, global environment
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
Experience in sectors such as infrastructure, energy, mining, or industrials is helpful but not required.
