Senior Legal Counsel – Investments
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel Investments to join a newly created dynamic and fast-paced legal team within a high-profile communications and technology business. Known for its influence in the telecoms space, this company has been at the forefront of mobile and digital transformation for decades.
The Lead Counsel Investments will provide legal advice across all non-wholly owned assets, including supporting the team on corporate matters including strategic investments/divestments, corporate governance, risk management and dispute resolution. You would interact with senior members of the Investments team on a regular basis and will also get exposure to external equity partners as well as teams across the group (e.g. business, networks, IT, commercial, corporate functions, strategy, M&A, finance, tax).
The Role will Include:
- Provide expert legal advice and strategic business partnering to the Investments Director and the Legal & Business Integrity Leadership Team members.
- Advise the business on structuring and negotiating related strategic programmes across the globe
- Provide legal advice to board directors and senior business stakeholders on complex matters
- Managing the business’s interests in its non-wholly owned assets
- Advising board directors and senior business stakeholders on complex contractual matters, ensuring contractual compliance
- Leading transformation initiatives to improve operational excellence, enable growth, and support key business objectives
Experience Required Includes:
✅ An experienced corporate lawyer with at least 8 years PQE in investments, including Joint Ventures/non-wholly owned assets
✅ Post deal implementation experience
✅ Knowledge of the telecoms sector
✅ Proven ability to operate efficiently, including delivering change programmes on time, within budget and for impact
✅ Dynamic and Strategic
