Senior Legal Counsel | London | Energy & TechnologyWe\’re working with a nationally significant, highly regulated organisation at the heart of the UK\’s energy infrastructure to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel. This is a rare opportunity to join an in-house legal team that plays a critical role in supporting the transformation and decarbonisation of Great Britain\’s energy system.The RoleReporting to the General Counsel, you\’ll act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.Key responsibilities include:Leading and negotiating complex, high-value commercial and technology contractsAdvising on post-contract matters including variations, disputes, exits and re-procurementsPartnering closely with Procurement, Commercial, Technology, People and Regulatory teamsProviding strategic advice on risk management and regulatory complianceDelivering legal training and contributing to knowledge-sharing and process improvement within the legal teamWhat We\’re Looking For4 – 8 years\’ PQE, with in-house experience in a commercial organisationBackground in a highly regarded private practice, with a focus on technology, telecoms or complex sourcing arrangementsProven experience supporting significant technology or outsourcing transactions, pre- and post-contractCommercial, solutions-focused and comfortable operating in a regulated environmentStrong stakeholder management skills and confidence engaging with senior leadershipResilient, adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving organisationExposure to government or a regulator is desirable but not essentialWhy Apply?Work on critical infrastructure with real national impactHigh-quality, varied legal work in a collaborative in-house environmentClear visibility with senior leadershipCompetitive salary and flexible benefits packageGenuine commitment to diversity, inclusion and sustainabilityYou\’ll be part of a legal function that\’s raising its profile and influence across the business, with direct exposure to the most strategic projects and issues.
