This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Lawyer with 5+ years PQE to join its team as Senior Legal Counsel. You will come with Corporate M&A, Regulatory or TMT experience. You will join a scale-up business with teams across London, Toronto, New York and Hong Kong.
You will be joining a fast-growing technology and data business who are a key player in financial services. You will work with a social, loyal, and top-tier legal team and have exposure across all commercial legal matters including regulatory, employment, data privacy/GDPR, SaaS, and corporate. Based in the city, you will be part of an ambitious and start-up-like culture that truly values flexibility, support, and rewarding employees.
ROLE SUMMARY
- Seeking a high-energy, self-starter who is focused on delivering outcomes and solving problems
- Drafting and reviewing product contracts with the company's global clients
- Taking the lead on contract negotiations
- Working closely with other teams within the business including sales and engineering team
- Assisting with various other work streams and projects managed including data supply contracts, service provider terms and conditions and company policies where required
CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Critical Experience: University degree BA/BS/LLB from a university in the UK or other relevant law degree (where relevant) and LPC
- English-qualified solicitor with at least 4 years experience at a top-firm or in-house
- Experience in corporate M&A, TMT and or regulatory matters
- Skillset to build, manage and lead a team
- Wanting to work in a fun and respectable team environment!
