About the Role
The team are looking for a Private Client Tax Directo r to join one of the UK’s largest and most dynamic Private Client teams.
You’ll work with a wide variety of clients including individuals, family businesses, trustees, and international clients—advising on complex and high-value personal tax matters.
The role will cover inheritance tax and trust planning to offshore structures and non-dom issues. You'll play a key part in mentoring the team, shaping strategy, and ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence across the board.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering expert tax advice across the business, especially in complex personal tax areas.
- Undertaking chargeable technical tax advice to colleagues across the Private Client teams and aiding Partners and colleagues with identifying specific client advisory issues to consider.
- Technical tax knowledge sharing across the Private Client Group. Providing technical guidance, supervising less experienced colleagues, supporting, training, mentoring and advising others.
- Guiding and mentoring junior team members, and contributing to their technical growth.
- Collaborating with senior colleagues to develop strategies, spot opportunities, and deliver top-tier service.
- Playing an active role in thought leadership—writing articles, contributing to marketing, and driving tax insights.
- Helping to shape the future of the Private Client Group through involvement in planning and decision-making.
What You’ll Bring
- CTA, ACA, or ACCA qualified with significant experience in private client tax advisory.
- Deep knowledge of personal tax issues affecting high-net-worth individuals, families, and trust structures.
- Proven ability to lead on complex tax matters and mentor others in a technical environment.
- A passion for sharing knowledge and driving quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
