We are partnering with a consumer-facing business seeking a Data Privacy Manager to support its data protection and cyber security framework.

THE ROLE: This role will work closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to provide practical, commercially focused advice across the organisation, with particular exposure to marketing, digital, HR, retail and technology teams. The role will support end-to-end privacy compliance, including advising on applicable legislation and regulatory guidance, drafting and negotiating data protection provisions in commercial and supplier agreements, and reviewing new initiatives to identify and mitigate privacy risk through privacy by design. You will also support the management of data subject rights requests and data security incidents, contribute to privacy governance initiatives, maintain policies and guidance, and support privacy training programmes. Close collaboration with IT Security will be a key part of the role.

SKILLS: Candidates should have 4+ years’ post-qualification experience as a lawyer or equivalent privacy-focused experience, gained in private practice, in-house. Experience advising on ePrivacy Regulations is strongly advantageous.
