Our client, a globally recognised organisation with a highly respected and well-established brand, is seeking to appoint an experienced Company Secretary on an interim basis to provide cover for a key leadership role. This is a broad, hands-on position offering exposure to a wide range of governance activities, including PLC obligations, subsidiary oversight and involvement in significant strategic initiatives. The role will suit a versatile individual who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment and able to balance strategic input with day-to-day delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the governance function, including line management of three junior team members.
- Oversee subsidiary governance across the group, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of corporate governance.
- Support and contribute to share plan activity, where required.
- Work closely on matters relating to governance considerations and stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain and enhance PLC governance standards, ensuring alignment with best practice and regulatory expectations.
- Support senior stakeholders with governance advice, ensuring clear, pragmatic and commercially aligned guidance.
- Assist with the smooth running of Board and Committee processes as required.
