We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join an in-house legal team, providing practical, commercially focused advice across a broad range of business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial, supplier, partnership, technology, licensing and other business agreements.
- Advising on commercial disputes, litigation, customer complaints and regulatory matters.
- Supporting marketing, promotions, competitions, advertising and e-commerce activities, including relevant terms and conditions.
- Advising on intellectual property, brand licensing and third-party rights.
- Supporting M&A transactions, including due diligence, transaction documentation and post-completion matters.
- Liaising with regulators, enforcement bodies and external legal advisers where required.
- Managing external counsel and legal costs effectively.
- Supporting senior lawyers and supervising junior team members.
Candidate skills:
- At least 3 years' post-qualification experience with strong commercial contract experience.
- Confident negotiating and advising in a fast-paced, changing business environment.
- Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
- Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Collaborative, organised and able to manage competing priorities.
- Ambitious and keen to develop within a large, complex organisation.
