Our client, a global consumer business with a diverse portfolio of well-known brands, is looking to hire a Marketing & IP Lawyer to join its international legal team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially focused lawyer who enjoys working alongside creative, digital, and brand teams in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

You will support marketing and business teams on a broad mix of advertising, brand protection, and intellectual property matters across multiple markets. The role sits at the heart of the business, advising on high-profile campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on advertising, marketing, consumer law, and IP matters
  • Support creative and marketing teams on campaigns, content, promotions, and brand activity
  • Review and negotiate marketing, sponsorship, licensing, influencer, and agency agreements
  • Provide trademark, copyright, and brand protection advice across a portfolio of consumer brands
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver practical, commercially focused legal guidance
  • Manage external counsel on IP and brand enforcement matters where required

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified lawyer (5-8 years PQE) with experience in marketing, advertising, and intellectual property law
  • Strong track record working closely with marketing and creative teams is essential
  • Experience gained in-house and/or at a leading law firm with consumer, retail, FMCG, media, or tech clients
  • Strong global experience essential
  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
