We are working with a highly dynamic, fast-moving consumer business based in West London who are seeking a Legal Counsel (5-7 years PQE) to join its in-house legal team. This is a broad, hands-on role offering genuinely varied work in a fast-paced B2C environment, with close exposure to commercial decision-making across the business.

The Role:

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders, the Legal Counsel will provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a wide range of matters, including:
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier, distribution, marketing, advertising, sponsorship and technology contracts.
  • Advising on UK consumer law, including product launches, pricing, promotions, advertising and customer-facing terms and conditions.
  • Partnering with marketing, product, digital and commercial teams to support new initiatives and campaigns.
  • Supporting data protection and privacy matters (GDPR).
  • Managing external legal advisers where required.
  • Assisting with general corporate, governance and day-to-day legal matters.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of legal processes and templates within a growing in-house function.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent).
  • Ideally 5–7 years’ PQE straight from Private Practice, a background from a Global Consumer Business or a mix of private practice and in-house.
  • Strong experience in commercial contracts, ideally within a consumer or B2C context.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, changeable environment.
  • Commercial, practical and confident working directly with non-legal stakeholders.
  • In-house experience is advantageous but not essential.
