I’m working with a growing financial services business in London that is looking to appoint a Head of Risk & Compliance. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced risk and compliance professional who can take ownership of the function and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.
The role will include:
- Leading the risk and compliance function, taking ownership of the company’s risk and compliance framework and ensuring it remains effective and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Providing practical advice to senior stakeholders, overseeing compliance monitoring and risk assessments, managing regulatory relationships and supporting the development of robust policies, procedures and governance.
- Identifying emerging risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation is in place and helping to embed a strong risk and compliance culture across the business.
- Providing risk insight and strategic recommendations to the Board, supporting effective oversight and informed decision-making at senior governance level.
Skills:
- Previous experience at Head of / Senior Risk & Compliance Manager level
- Strong experience within financial services or consumer finance
- A solid understanding of UK financial services regulation
- Experience presenting risk matters and providing strategic advice at Board level
- Strong risk management, compliance and governance experience
- Confidence working with senior leadership and influencing business decisions
- A pragmatic and commercially minded approach, with the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced organisation
