Head of Legal Operations in London

Associate Director in Legal, Compliance & Company Secretarial Recruitment Our client, a FTSE 100 is looking for an experienced Legal Operations professional to take a leading role in driving strategic projects across the legal function. This position is focused on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and overall impact through technology, data, and operational best practices.This is a high-profile role that requires a unique blend of legal operations expertise, digital acumen, and strategic vision. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, be an effective and inspiring people leader, and excel in a fast-moving, complex, global environment.Key Responsibilities Lead strategic transformation initiatives as defined by the legal leadership team.Develop and implement new capabilities and operational models with appropriate governance and reporting structures.Oversee the adoption, optimisation, and management of legal technology platforms, including matter management, eBilling, contract lifecycle management, and emerging AI solutions.Use data and management insights to support decision-making, track KPIs, measure outcomes, and ensure robust data governance and reporting.Act as a key contributor within a shared services model, collaborating closely with governance and operations teams to ensure effective communication and delivery across the legal function.Ensure legal operations processes comply with internal policies and external regulations, while identifying and mitigating legal, financial, and reputational risks.Candidate Requirements Extensive experience in senior legal operations roles, with a proven record of managing complex, cross-functional transformation projects within large in-house legal teams.Experience in a publicly listed company and/or a large multinational organisation.Strong experience managing direct and indirect teams across multiple regions, collaborating with senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders, implementing multiple legal technology platforms, and overseeing external suppliers and panel law firms.Excellent project management skills and proficiency in tools such as PowerApps, Power BI, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.Comfortable using legal analytics and reporting tools to generate insights and inform decision-making, with strong drafting and communication skills.This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the legal team and broader leadership, where your contributions and voice will be recognised and valued.If this opportunity sounds of potential interest, please send your CV to apetrou@kgglobal.co.ukLocation London, England, United Kingdom
