Our client, a fast-growing global tech organisation, is seeking a Legal Counsel (3–4 years’ PQE) to join its London-based Legal team. This is a high-impact role within a global, cross‑functional department that supports the business across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Europe, and the United States.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Legal, the Legal Counsel will advise on a broad range of commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters. Our client is looking for an Associate who is moving straight from Private Practice into their first in‑house role. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and colleagues across international offices on complex, multi‑jurisdictional projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with clients and vendors (including New York law-governed agreements).
- Advising on cross‑border compliance, data privacy, and regulatory issues.
- Developing and implementing internal risk and governance policies.
- Supporting corporate governance and company secretarial matters.
- Delivering training and guidance to internal teams.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a New York Qualified solicitor with around 3–4 years’ PQE, gained at a top‑tier law firm. You will bring strong technical skills, commercial judgment, and the confidence to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, global business.
