This household name business is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join its highly regarded in-house legal team, supporting the business on a broad range of contentious matters across a complex and fast-paced operational environment. With a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability and delivering essential services across the UK, this organisation offers an excellent opportunity for a commercial litigator to move to their first in-house role, or broaden their existing in-house experience.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Provide commercially focused legal advice across a wide range of disputes including commercial contracts, IP, IT, regulatory and property matters.
- Manage litigation matters from pre-action stage through to issue and resolution.
- Support the business on customer and wider commercial disputes, providing practical and risk-based advice to key stakeholders.
- Assist with small claims matters and liaise with external legal counsel where required.
- Work collaboratively across the business to deliver clear, pragmatic legal solutions.
- Manage relationships with external legal providers and contribute to internal legal know-how and process improvements.
Requirements for the role:
- A commercial litigation lawyer with 3+ years PQE having trained with a well regarded law firm.
- Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Experience managing a broad range of contentious matters.
- Confident engaging with and advising senior stakeholders across the business.
- A proactive, collaborative and commercially minded approach.
- Experience advising on GDPR matters would be beneficial.
