Our client, a global leader in their field, is looking for a Head of Compliance (Advisory) to join their team on a permanent basis. The role reports into the Chief Compliance Officer who is hugely inspirational, and they are looking for someone to work in partnership with them – helping to build out best in class compliance teams both in the UK and internationally.
Leading the business-facing and strategic part of the Compliance function the role will include:
- Working closely with the business to ensure that business activities are compliant with company policies, laws and regulations
- Having strategic oversight, regulatory interpretation and stakeholder engagement to anticipate compliance risks and help shape decision-making
- Helping to lead and build key compliance programmes for example, policy development, third party due diligence programmes as well as sanctions programmes
- Project manage global and strategic transformational projects to uplift compliance of key laws and regulations
- Designing controls and mitigations
- Helping the business design new initiatives in a compliant way
- Helping to implement compliance policies and training programmes internationally
- Interfacing with senior stakeholders, demonstrating gravitas, discretion, and a high degree of professional integrity
To be considered for the role you should:
- Have considerable experience in compliance roles, with substantial experience of sanctions and third-party due diligence
- Have worked in a global leadership position
- Have extensive stakeholder management experience
- Be experienced in building compliance programmes
- Have exceptional project management skills and be adept at leading large-scale transformation initiatives
- Be comfortable being both operational and strategic, with the ability to shape direction and deliver outcomes
