Associate Director in Legal, Compliance & Company Secretarial Recruitment
Our client, a global leader in their field, is looking for a Head of Compliance to join their team on a permanent basis.
The organisation is at an exciting juncture in their growth story and as a result, they are looking for a lawyer with a background in compliance to support them on their journey.
The role reports into the Chief Compliance Officer who is hugely inspirational, and they are looking for someone to work in partnership with them – helping to build out best in class compliance teams both in the UK and internationally.
Leading the business-facing and strategic part of the Compliance function the role will include:
- Working closely with the business to ensure that business activities are compliant with company policies, laws and regulations
- Having strategic oversight, regulatory interpretation and stakeholder engagement to anticipate compliance risks and help shape decision-making
- Helping to lead and build key compliance programmes for example, policy development, third party due diligence programmes as well as sanctions programmes
- Project manage global and strategic transformational projects to uplift compliance of key laws and regulations
- Designing controls and mitigations
- Helping the business design new initiatives in a compliant way
- Helping to implement compliance policies and training programmes internationally
- Serving as the number two to the Global Head of Operations, with scope to grow and lead a team over time
- Interfacing with senior stakeholders, demonstrating gravitas, discretion, and a high degree of professional integrity
To be considered for the role you should:
- Have considerable experience in compliance roles, with substantial experience of sanctions and third-party due diligence
- Have worked in a global leadership position
- Be experienced in building compliance programmes
- Have exceptional project management skills and be adept at leading large-scale transformation initiatives
- Be comfortable being both operational and strategic, with the ability to shape direction and deliver outcomes
