We are working with a highly dynamic, fast‑moving consumer business based in West London who are seeking a Legal Counsel (5‑7 years PQE) to join their in‑house legal team. This is a broad, hands‑on role offering genuinely varied work in a fast‑paced B2C environment, with close exposure to commercial decision‑making across the business.
The Role
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier, distribution, marketing, advertising, sponsorship and technology contracts.
- Advising on UK consumer law, including product launches, pricing, promotions, advertising and customer‑facing terms and conditions.
- Partnering with marketing, product, digital and commercial teams to support new initiatives and campaigns.
- Supporting data protection and privacy matters (GDPR).
- Managing external legal advisers where required.
- Assisting with general corporate, governance and day‑to‑day legal matters.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of legal processes and templates within a growing in‑house function.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent).
- Ideally 5–7 years’ PQE straight from Private Practice, a background from a Global Consumer Business or a mix of private practice and in‑house.
- Strong experience in commercial contracts, ideally within a consumer or B2C context.
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, changeable environment.
- Commercial, practical and confident working directly with non‑legal stakeholders.
- In‑house experience is advantageous but not essential.
