An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Funds Lawyer to join the legal team of a highly regarded investment management business on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover.
Working closely with the General Counsel, you will advise on a broad range of funds, corporate and investment management matters, partnering with the Board and senior leadership team on strategic legal issues.
This is a visible, business-facing role where the legal function is valued as a trusted commercial adviser.

Key responsibilities: Advising on fund structures, investment vehicles, joint ventures and corporate governance matters.
Supporting corporate transactions, financing arrangements and subsidiary oversight.
Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and investment-related documentation.
Managing external legal advisers and overseeing legal risk and governance.
Supporting company secretarial matters and the execution of legal documentation.
Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business and delivering commercially focused legal advice.
About you: You will be a qualified lawyer with experience in corporate and funds law, gained in private practice or in-house, with a strong understanding of investment structures and investment management.
Experience advising on corporate transactions and fund structures.
A commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong judgement, attention to detail and a collaborative mindset.
This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with an experienced and supportive General Counsel while gaining regular exposure to the Board of Directors and senior leadership team.
