Are you a UK-qualified lawyer looking to apply your skills in a purpose-driven and tech-forward environment? We’re working with a leading player in the UK’s digital infrastructure sector to find a Senior Legal Counsel with expertise in compliance, corporate governance, and general commercial or corporate law. You will be part of a flourishing in-house legal team, that is supportive and collaborative, that sits at the heart of a growing business at the forefront of national connectivity.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer, either already working in house or from private practice looking for their first in-house move, seeking a new challenge in a high-growth environment.

The balance of work will vary, according to the changing business needs, but will include corporate M&A and completion work and involvement in the following:

  • Lead UK workstreams on anti-bribery, anti-fraud, and other corporate crime prevention efforts
  • Oversee data privacy strategy and compliance, including DPIAs, DSARs, and communications with the ICO
  • Manage governance and compliance requirements under the Electronic Communications Code and Telecommunications Security Act
  • Own and update compliance policies and frameworks across the UK business
  • Support on broader corporate governance, including delegated authorities and relationships with Group Treasury and Tax
  • Support with corporate M&A, competition law and commercial contracts

Essential Requirements:

  • A solicitor or barrister qualified in England & Wales, ideally with 10+ years\’ PQE
  • In-house or private practice background, with solid experience in compliance, data privacy, and corporate governance
  • Able to work independently with senior stakeholders and take ownership of regulatory and governance responsibilities
  • Practical, proactive, and confident
  • A genuine interest in data privacy and information security – experience in these areas is highly valued
  • Experience with company secretarial tasks, and exposure to commercial contracts or corporate M&A would be a plus

On offer is a fantastic corporate culture, that is friendly and supportive, as well as good career progression. There is a generous base salary and bonus and a good work/life balance with hybrid working (3 days a week from the office in Berkshire or Warwickshire).
