Senior Legal Counsel – Privacy (5–10 PQE) - 3 month+ Contract Hybrid working – 2 days per week in Central London A FTSE 250 business with a strong, stable financial position is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel – Privacy on an initial 3-month+ contract basis to cover a vacancy in its Legal & Compliance team. The immediate priorities will be conducting privacy reviews on contracts, training the legal team on privacy matters and building out privacy playbooks for the business. The broader remit covers maintaining the privacy governance framework in line with UK GDPR and related legislation, advising on developments in data protection law and their practical impact on the business, supporting business projects to ensure privacy compliance including advising on and monitoring DPIAs, handling individual rights requests, direct marketing queries and complaints, and reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts and data processing arrangements.
