We are working with a global manufacturing business in their search for a commercially astute, and internationally experienced Legal Director to help drive the transformation of the global legal function alongside the General Counsel. This strategic role requires strong stakeholder management, business acumen, and the ability to act as a key business partner across multiple functions. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal strategy, enabling business growth, and ensuring governance and compliance across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the legal strategy and vision for the Customer Legal function to support business growth and strategic ambitions.
- Lead governance to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company codes.
- Drive transformation of the legal function, implementing systems and processes to enable digitisation and improved ways of working.
- Partner with leadership teams and functions (operations, supply chain, sales, marketing) to deliver strategic objectives.
- Provide expert legal counsel on complex issues, regulatory matters, and major transactions.
- Identify legal risks and develop creative, business-oriented solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including regulators, trade bodies, and legal peers.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer with 10-15 years PQE
- Proven track record as senior B2C in-house counsel with international experience.
- Strong academic background and business acumen, with a deep interest in market trends, sustainability, and the mobility sector.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experienced in leading transformation, driving change, and managing high-performing teams.
