Leadership & Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of the care service
- Lead, motivate, and supervise care staff
- Ensure safe staffing levels and effective rota management
- Conduct regular staff meetings, supervisions, and appraisals
Care Quality & Compliance
- Ensure care delivery meets CQC standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and reviews
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Prepare for and lead CQC inspections
Person-Centred Care
- Ensure individuals receive high-quality, tailored care
- Carry out initial assessments and regular reviews
- Respond promptly to concerns, complaints, or safeguarding issues
Staff Recruitment & Training
- Recruit, induct, and train new staff
- Ensure all staff complete mandatory training
- Monitor performance and manage disciplinary processes where required
Safeguarding & Health & Safety
- Act as safeguarding lead and ensure policies are followed
- Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented
- Manage incidents, accidents, and investigations
Communication & Partnership Working
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Maintain positive relationships with local authorities and commissioners
Financial & Administrative Duties
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
- Oversee payroll inputs, invoicing, and care hours
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies
Skills & Experience Required
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
- Previous management experience in health or social care
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards
