The predicted salary is between 15000 - 20000 £ per year.

Candidates will need to have good communication skills, computer literacy and enjoy working with people. Have a good education with excellent GCSE results and/or A Level results or equivalent. Good English written and spoken skills. You need to be accurate, methodical and empathetic. The successful applicant will work towards a Business Admin Level 3 qualification under the guidance of an approved local training provider. Opportunities will also be available to attend I.T. and other training courses.

Main duties of the job:

  • Greeting patients, booking them in to clinics
  • Answering incoming calls on behalf of the Practice, dealing efficiently with general enquiries from patients and transferring calls accordingly
  • Booking appointments for GPs, Nurse and other service providers across both surgeries and using our surgery triage system KLINIK
  • Ensuring that all calls are answered promptly, accurately and professionally - full training will be given
  • Taking accurate messages where appropriate
  • Registering new patients and temporary patients checking identity
  • Maintaining electronic appointment systems
  • Managing an online appointment booking system
  • Informing patients of test results
  • Ensuring security of premises and arranging maintenance of equipment
  • Monitoring generic enquiries/records and information and chronic disease emails

Patient Records:

  • Action all change of name and address forms and notifications
  • Ensure patients who live outside the boundary complete an out of area application
  • Average and calculate home blood pressure readings
  • Using MS Office software WORD and EXCEL and Networked computers
  • Using the TPP-SystmOne medical records system
  • Using emails and Internet
  • Maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and information governance
  • Use of office equipment: computers, phones, printers, photocopiers and laminator
