As a Sous Chef you are in a position of responsibility within the operation and key to the success of the business and thus must always carry yourself in a professional manner.
Your tasks will include (but are not necessarily limited to):
- Supporting the Head Chef in their daily tasks (rotas, ordering, stock control, menu management, allergens).
- Be involved with the production and service of all food leaving the kitchen.
- Take an active role in the recruitment and training of the junior chefs in the kitchen.
- Interact well with customers.
- Liaise well with the FOH team and create a cohesive environment to work in.
- Ensuring that the kitchen is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness, accepting, and organizing deliveries.
