We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Paralegal to join our Private Client Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop a long-term career in private client law and work closely with experienced practitioners in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will assist the Head of Department with the administration of trusts and provide support to a returning solicitor across all aspects of private client work. We are particularly interested in candidates who are keen to progress their career and ultimately qualify as a solicitor specialising in private client law.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting with the administration and management of trusts.
- Supporting fee earners in all areas of private client work, including:
- Wills
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Probate and estate administration
- Trusts and tax planning
- Court of Protection matters
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents.
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and third parties.
- Preparing files and documentation for meetings and transactions.
- Maintaining accurate records and case management systems.
- Undertaking legal research as required.
- Providing administrative support to the department to ensure the efficient progression of matters.
- Previous experience in a legal support or paralegal role is desirable, ideally within a private client department.
- A genuine interest in private client law and a desire to build a career in this area.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
