An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal or Newly Qualified Solicitor to join a well-established and supportive law firm within their Medical Negligence team. The Role
You will act as a fee earner, supporting clients through medical negligence claims while delivering a professional and efficient legal service. This is a varied role involving client interaction, case management, legal drafting, and research.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking client instructions via telephone and in person
- Managing new enquiries and preparing initial documentation
- Conducting risk assessments, due diligence, and conflict checks
- Maintaining accurate case files and detailed records
- Investigating claims, including obtaining and reviewing medical records
- Preparing legal documentation including Letters of Claim and Witness Statements
- Liaising with Counsel, experts, and third parties
- Attending conferences and hearings where required
- Carrying out legal research to support case progression
- Keeping clients updated throughout the lifecycle of their claim
About You
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience in medical negligence
- Strong organisational and case management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, resilient, and client-focused approach
- Good understanding of legal terminology and processes
