The Role
Our client, a respected London-based law firm, is seeking a Corporate and Commercial Paralegal to join their small, collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented paralegal to gain hands-on experience across corporate, commercial, and finance work. You will assist partners and solicitors on high-value, cross-border transactions and support clients throughout the entire lifecycle of corporate and commercial matters. The role offers a broad mix of transactional, regulatory, and compliance work, making it ideal for a candidate looking to develop a long-term career in business law.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lawyers with corporate and commercial transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and reorganisations.
- Prepare and maintain due diligence reports and data rooms.
- Draft and review corporate and commercial documents (NDAs, SPAs, BPAs, service agreements, shareholder agreements, etc.).
- Assist with financing transactions — drafting facility agreements, security documents, and completion deliverables.
- Coordinate signing and completion processes, including filing forms at Companies House.
- Conduct client AML/KYC checks and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support the team with billing, document management, and administrative processes.
- Liaise directly with clients, third parties, and internal teams, providing clear communication throughout transactions.
The Person
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy in drafting and review.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Commercially aware, professional, and proactive in approach.
- Understanding of AML/KYC principles and SRA regulatory requirements desirable.
- Previous experience in a corporate or commercial law environment advantageous but not essential.
