Overview

Salary: £24,000 – £26,000 per annum

Store Opening: September 2025

Are you passionate about sustainable fashion and customer experience? Do you bring enthusiasm, responsibility, and leadership to everything you do? A premium fashion brand is opening a brand-new store in Bath and is looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations and drive a best-in-class in-store experience.

As the Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the store team, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining high operational standards. You will be the go-to person in the absence of the Store Manager and will champion the brand’s values on sustainability, style, simplicity, and community.

The Role

  • Deliver outstanding customer service across all touchpoints – in-store, by phone, and online.
  • Support and deputise for the Store Manager in all areas of store operations.
  • Provide expert product knowledge and confident, personalised styling advice.
  • Motivate and mentor junior team members, supporting onboarding and ongoing training.
  • Maintain impeccable visual merchandising and store presentation.
  • Manage daily administrative and operational tasks including till use, deliveries, and returns.
  • Assist with opening/closing duties and ensure general store security.
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with replenishment, and handle stock recalls.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to relevant departments (. buying/merchandising).
  • Ensure all health & safety and store procedures are followed.

The Person

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a premium retail environment, ideally in a supervisory or senior sales advisor role.
  • A warm and approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine love for sustainable, stylish fashion and engaging with customers.
  • High attention to detail, well-organised, and able to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A calm, empathetic, and confident presence – especially under pressure.
  • Proficient in IT systems, including tills and logistics software.
