We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and early childhood education to children in our nursery setting. Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities that promote early learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Supervise and support children’s daily routines, including play, meals, rest, and hygiene.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children at all times.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
- Lead and mentor junior staff members, ensuring adherence to nursery policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to develop personalised care plans for individual children.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as planning documentation and parent communication.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education (e.g., Level 3 NVQ or equivalent).
- Proven experience working within a nursery or childcare environment.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative.
- A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
