Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to oversee the technical and design coordination of the Company's property development projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with consultants, contractors, government authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the Company's design objectives, statutory requirements, quality standards, budget, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the technical aspects of assigned residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects.
- Coordinate and manage the performance of architects, Civil & Structural, M&E, landscape, interior design, and other specialist consultants.
- Review concept, schematic, design development, tender, and construction drawings to ensure compliance with the Company's requirements and statutory regulations.
- Monitor consultants' deliverables to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule.
- Liaise with URA, BCA, SCDF, PUB, LTA, and other government authorities on planning and technical matters.
- Coordinate design review meetings and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, shop drawings, material submissions, and consultants' recommendations.
- Provide technical advice and recommend practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining design intent and quality.
- Work closely with Project, Contracts, Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, and Customer Service teams.
- Monitor construction progress from the developer's perspective to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Assist with project completion, TOP, CSC, and defect management.
Requirements
At least a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the property development or construction industry.
- Previous experience in an Architectural, Engineering, or Project Management Consultancy is required.
- Experience working for a property developer is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore's property development process, authority approval procedures, and construction practices.
- Good understanding of URA, BCA, SCDF, and other statutory requirements.
- Strong technical coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple projects independently.
