Kingsdown is looking for a talented, ambitious individual to join our team and contribute towards developing the Kingsdown brand at a very exciting time for the business. This position presents an excellent opportunity for the right person to play a key role in Kingsdown’s growth over the years to come.
Kingsdown Water is an established and leading brand of premium glass bottled spring water supplied into a wide range of restaurants, hotels, and bars, as well as retail outlets, across the UK. Listings include The Savoy, The Wolseley, Malmaison, Hotel du Vin, Tate, Brasserie Blanc, Marstons, Young’s, and Shepherd Neame.
Kingsdown Sparkling Pressés are premium soft drinks which target the rapidly growing adult soft drinks sector, made from spring water and meticulously sourced natural juices and blended to produce premium quality soft drinks with eye-catching beautifully designed packaging.
The role is permanent and full time and will focus primarily on developing new business and managing new and existing accounts across the UK to ensure enduring commercial relationships. The emphasis will be on sales into the on-trade market (restaurants, hotels, pubs etc) with both direct supply and indirect supply through drinks and food service distributors. There will also be opportunities to develop new business in the off-trade market (farm shops, delis, grocery stores, online etc).
Responsibilities will include working on marketing and building the Kingsdown brand, including developing and managing our online presence through our website and the usual social media channels; designing and producing marketing materials (POS, sales flyers, advertisements for trade publications etc); and attending trade shows and other events in order to promote Kingsdown and develop new business. There will be a requirement to travel within the UK to attend meetings, trade shows etc, sometimes involving overnight stays.
The successful candidate will be confident, outgoing, articulate (both spoken and written), resilient, fearless, dynamic, and have a keen interest in food and drink, restaurants, hotels, and all things related to the hospitality industry. They will have strong negotiating and communication skills - over the phone, electronically, and in person, and will have excellent organisational skills and relationship-building skills.
Experience of working with Microsoft Office is essential; experience of working with Sage Accounts, or similar accounting software, and Photoshop or similar image editing software, is preferred but is not essential.
