Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer for a well-established manufacturer based in Staffordshire / West Midlands. As the ideal candidate for the role, you will be a multi-skilled engineer with experience of planned and reactive maintenance within production. You will ideally have worked in a dual (electrical and mechanical) role or at least have a mechanical understanding to complement your electrical skills. You will be a confident fault finder and ideally have some understanding or exposure to PLC controlled systems.
In the role, you will be a day shift engineer working within a team to support the manufacturing / production operation with planned and reactive maintenance duties. There is a range of systems and equipment controlled through various PLC systems with hydraulic and pneumatic elements, so the willingness and ability to learn and develop will be crucial. There is a range of new and established equipment making maintenance a key role in the business.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Repairing all faults arising on any plant or equipment on site.
- Responding to breakdowns as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- In the event of multiple breakdowns, consulting with management in order to prioritise.
- Carrying out planned maintenance and installation work as and when required.
- Being responsible for the quality and safety of the work that you carry out in accordance with current legislation.
- Logging all relevant information and data in the CMMS system.
- Carrying tasks out to a high degree of workmanship in an environment which strives for continuous improvement.
- Reporting and ordering, when needed, spare and critical parts.
- Keeping the workshop and stores clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Ensuring you work safely in accordance with H&S policy and standards.
