Are you a Process Engineer with hands-on manufacturing skills? Are you looking for a role with both equipment and process improvement duties? Do you want to be part of a well-invested and dynamic business that is looking to develop and grow? Kingscroft has been asked to recruit for a Process Engineer for a specialist manufacturing business.
As the ideal candidate, you will have strong manufacturing skills, be confident in delivering process improvements, and correcting machines and equipment after customer quality concerns. Ideally, you will have experience in CNC programming, which combined with a wider process engineering skill set will enable you to impact existing and developing shop floor programmes.
Your role will involve:
- Producing and expediting general factory engineering improvement plans
- Providing support to the shop floor as depicted by the engineering manager
- Project managing continuous improvement projects for the shop floor or as specified by the Engineering Manager
- Writing specifications, liaising with suppliers, and obtaining relevant quotes
- Supporting Program Managers on NPI awards
- Providing technical support on all build phases from prototype stages through to full volume manufacture
- Supporting Capex expenditure projects regarding new machines and automation
- Creating and executing scrap/rectification reduction improvement plans
- Ensuring quality systems are implemented and maintained
