Are you a Design Engineer or Project Engineer with a background in Design Engineering and Product Development? Are you confident with Design Engineering projects involving sheet metal, mechanical and electro-mechanical components? Can you help support wider cross-functional teams working on design changes, creating and managing BOMs, using MRP systems and updating design data to ensure ongoing product success?
Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a Design Engineer by a specialist manufacturing business. As the ideal candidate, you will have experience of working in complex manufacturing environments creating designs of electro-mechanical systems and helping to control and deliver projects through engineering change and delivery phases. Our client is open to talking to candidates at all phases of their career and would encourage applications from engineering graduates and more experienced technical engineers. Our client is also interested in applications from mechanically biased engineers or electrically orientated engineers and could adapt the role to suit either discipline.
Daily Duties to Include:
- Product Design using 3D CAD
- Bill of materials maintenance within MRP system
- New Bill of Materials generation within MRP System
- New purchased part number set up
- PCO (Product Change Order) generation, release and distribution for engineering related activities
- Attend team meetings to understand workload and assist in priority request actioning
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to take on board information for action requests and also communicate out changes implemented to relevant teams
- Support Continuous improvement activities
- Support NPI and NPD activities
