We are seeking an imaginative and dedicated teacher of Geography to join our successful team, and to develop others through our Teaching School status. The successful applicant will have a desire to continue the forward-thinking and creative ethos of the department. If you can demonstrate a passion for your subject and share this enthusiasm with students we want to hear from you. Applications from ECTs are welcome.

The Geography Department is a highly successful and well-respected department within the College. It comprises four specialist teachers who bring a wealth of experience, subject expertise and enthusiasm to their teaching. We strive to deliver lessons that are engaging, interactive and relevant, helping students to understand and respond to the challenges of today’s world.
The department enjoys excellent outcomes at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, and uptake at both GCSE and A level is consistently strong. Geography is the most popular option subject, with over 80 students opting to study Geography at AS level this year. Students are entered for the AQA A GCSE and Edexcel A level courses. The successful applicant will be required to teach up to A level.
Clear and well-established schemes of work are in place for Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, and the department works collaboratively to plan lessons and standardise assessment, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence. A wide range of extra-curricular activities is offered, making full use of the excellent local fieldwork opportunities available.
