The King's Trust is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Procurement Manager to join our Procurement team and support the Head of Procurement in taking the department to the next level. You will use your commercial focus and expertise to drive best practices in our projects, managing various aspects of spending from RfQs for tail‑end to tendering on our e‑Procurement portal for large project procurements. You will be challenged to innovate and work closely with stakeholders to lead procurement strategy, drive value for money, manage strategic projects and oversee the supply chain. Projects cover ICT equipment, Marketing and Events, and everything in between – you must be dynamic, flexible and able to manage your own time well. Sustainability, Social Value and EDI are important to the Trust, and you will embed these in our supply chain with key suppliers. Although based in Manchester, you will travel to our centres across the U.K. and may need to stay away from home one or two nights a week for key projects in Birmingham, Glasgow and London.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage procurement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategy aligned with the Trust’s objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships and ensure value for money.
  • Embed sustainability, social value and EDI considerations into procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Trust and external partners.
