We are looking for a salaried General Practitioner to work 4 sessions on Thursday and Friday, with on‑call duties on Thursday. The practice is located on Baglan Moors in Port‑Talbot, in a purpose‑built premises at the Port Talbot Resource Centre, just off the M4 motorway.
Job Responsibilities
- Triage and face‑to‑face appointments
- All general GP duties
- Electronic prescribing (EPS) and checking/signing repeat prescriptions
- Managing workflow queries, blood results, prescriptions, medical reports, examinations, referral letters (NHS and private) and correspondence (Docman) by end of working week
- Equitable share of workload and cover for partners, other doctors, and clinical team during absence or leave
- On‑call duties when requested by the partnership
- Recording and making contemporaneous IT‑based consultation notes to agreed standards
- Prescribing within locally agreed guidelines
- Working day from 08:30 to 18:30
Qualifications
- Qualified GP: MRCGP, Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
- Full GMC Registration
- National Performers List registration
- Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
- Experience in primary care and GP practice, including medicines management
