The King's School, Canterbury is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Chef / Pastry Chef to join our busy Catering team. Working alongside experienced chefs, you will help deliver high‑quality meals, desserts, cakes and baked goods for pupils, staff, hospitality events and special functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef with a passion for producing consistently high standards of food while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and cook meals and desserts for a diverse range of customers.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Work effectively as part of a fast‑paced team in a professional catering environment.
  • Produce pastry and other baked goods as required.
  • Assist in planning and executing catering for hospitality events and special functions.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience in a professional catering environment.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Experience in pastry production, hospitality or large‑scale catering is advantageous.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
