We are seeking to appoint an Out of School Club Playworker. The position offers flexible hours, providing you with more time for other commitments. This role is ideal for individuals looking to expand their experience in childcare.
Candidates should have experience working with children, such as with brownie/scout groups or in a play-based setting, and be familiar with good practice in child care. We seek a dynamic, energetic, and well-organized individual to support our Out of School Club. Experience in delivering sport, dance, or possessing creative flair is welcomed.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring children's safety and security

- Building trusting relationships with children aged 4-11

Adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures is essential. We offer a welcoming, supportive team in a well-resourced environment.
Holiday hours: Staff are required to cover holiday club hours from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. During holidays, you will work your usual hours, with additional hours paid as overtime. Holiday periods include February, May, October half-term, the second week of Easter, and four weeks in summer, with at least two days per week during these times.
Holiday leave: The role includes 7 weeks of annual leave: 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter, 3 weeks in summer, and 1 week during October, in addition to days off during holiday clubs.
