We wish to appoint an Out of School Club Assistant. The hours of the position offer flexibility, allowing you more time for other commitments. This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant seeking additional hours or a Teacher wanting a break from the pressures of teaching, while still working with children in a part-time setting.
Candidates should have relevant childcare qualifications and experience working with children in a classroom or out of school club environment. We seek a dynamic, energetic, and well-organized individual to help operate our Out of School Club. Experience in delivering sports, dance, or having creative flair is welcomed.
Your responsibilities include ensuring children's safety and well-being, providing a high standard of care, building trusting relationships with children aged 4-11, and communicating positively with parents and carers. Adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures is essential. We offer a welcoming, supportive team in a well-resourced environment.
Holiday hours: Staff are required to cover holiday club hours from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Normal hours apply during holidays including February, May, and October half-terms, the second week of Easter holidays, and four weeks during summer holidays. Hours worked during holidays are paid as additional overtime.
Holiday entitlement: The role includes 7 weeks of annual leave: 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter, 3 weeks in summer, and 1 week during October, plus days off during holiday clubs.
