Pupil Specific 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant at Kings Oak Academy
30 hours per week, Term time plus 1 week
Salary - MRS Scale D Point 6 - Point 7 actual salary £18,044 - £18,331 (Full time annual salary £25,989 - £26,403)
This is currently a fixed term contract until 21st July 2027, due to this position being pupil specific.
Unity Education Trust are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join our education team at Kings Oak Academy as soon as possible. We are looking for a versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant with experience and skills supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher and other teaching assistants, assisting the children in their work and play, supporting with pupil behaviour and establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.
Please note that the role does involve some regular physical activity e.g. supporting intimate care, interacting with students through play on the floor and responding promptly to escalated situations. This does not remove our obligation to make adjustments where appropriate.
