About this Role
We are seeking an exceptional teacher to join Kings Norton Girls' School and Sixth Form (KNGS) as our DesignTechnology/Resistant Materials Teacher. KNGS is an Ofsted Outstanding schooland part of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust. We have a comprehensiveintake and a co-educational sixth form. The post is available from January 2027 on a full time, permanent basis (main or upper salary range).
The posthas arisen due to the retirement of the current postholder. DesignTechnology/Resistant Materials sits within the arts faculty, awell-established, dedicated and experienced team who work collaboratively toachieve the best outcomes for our students. We are seeking an effective andambitious classroom practitioner who is committed to continually improvingstudents\' experiences and attainment. The successful candidate will teachDesign Technology/Resistant Materials at KS3 and KS4 and will take day-to-dayresponsibility for the development of the subject within the arts faculty. Thepostholder will work closely with the Arts Faculty Leader and will beresponsible for the effective delivery of Design Technology, includingcurriculum development, ordering and managing resources, ensuring workshopmachinery and equipment are appropriately maintained and serviced, and will workclosely with our part-time D&T technician.
