We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Head Teacher who:
- Leadership and Management – Proven leadership and management skills at a senior level in an educational setting for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring effective day‑to‑day organisation and delivering a high quality of education for all pupils, continually improving learning standards.
- Strategic partnership – Work in partnership with the Headteacher, wider team, Governing Body, and stakeholders to create a clear vision, direction and operational framework for the school.
- Innovative and forward‑thinking – Committed to making a strong contribution to the development of the school and staff.
- Stakeholder relationships – Build effective, positive relationships and collaborate with parents/carers, therapy teams, and specialist services to support pupils and ensure best outcomes.
The position offers an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to be part of the continuing development of our special school, catering for over 50 pupils aged 4‑11 with SEMH and associated needs such as delays in learning, development, and/or trauma. This role is part of a significant transitional phase for the school and offers the successful candidate an exciting leadership challenge to contribute to the journey and make real differences to the lives of our wonderful young people.
