ROLE SUMMARY
Location: Remote, UK (working to a Universal timetable across the Middle East and UK)
Salary range: £36,000-£42,500
Maternity cover for 1 year
As part of our strategy to continue to grow and provide our services internationally, we are advertising for a talented and ambitious English teacher to join our online school for a maternity cover for one year, with the ability to teach English, up to year 13.
Location – Based in the UK, working remotely from home but can include a hybrid model when requested at times to meet in the region throughout the year. You will be part of our Universal Timetable, teaching students largely from the Middle East but also the UK.
Working Hours: Your live teaching will start at 5am UK time and expected to finish at 1.30pm approx UK time. As part of the Universal Timetable on some days you may have a later/earlier start and later/earlier finish time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspire, motivate and provide purposeful subject knowledge for students.
- Put Quality First Teaching at the front and centre of all tasks.
- Support the self-evaluation of the school’s effectiveness and the development of priorities for improvement.
- Assist in maintaining and developing a high-quality school environment and profile and act as a role model by their professional conduct and disposition.
- Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and any class or group of students.
- Provide guidance and advice to students on educational and wellbeing matters.
- Provide or contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to students in a timely manner.
- Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities.
- Communicate with parents and other stakeholders to ensure they feel supported and receive the best possible outcome for students.
- Undertake any other work as specified by their line manager.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the correct Safeguarding procedure.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Able to work effectively in dynamic and changing environments.
- Experience of working in the primary, secondary or college sector.
- Experience of working in state or independent school sector.
- Experience with creating resources and the ability to review and enhance our current course delivery.
- Computer Literate with the ability to teach online using technology applications.
- Knowledge of best ways to engage students in your subject of expertise.
- The capability to drive best practices and have a reputation for delivering high quality material.
- Keen interest within the online teaching and learning environment, with a passion for the learning and development of students.
- A flexible, highly energetic approach and the ability to thrive in a business with a fast changing, collaborative, delivery culture.
