Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Property Field Claims Specialist to manage property claims throughout the Greater Boston region. This role involves full-cycle handling of both residential and commercial property claims, from initial inspection to resolution. You’ll assess damage on-site, interpret policy coverage, and negotiate settlements while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and efficient claims management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate property damage claims in-person across assigned areas, handling a variety of residential and commercial cases.
- Prepare and deliver accurate damage estimates using Xactimate.
- Evaluate coverage and draft detailed correspondence outlining coverage positions.
- Collaborate with policyholders, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication throughout the claims process.
- Address property coverage inquiries with confidence and clarity.
- Identify opportunities for subrogation, loss control, and cost-saving measures.
- Ensure claims are resolved efficiently and within company guidelines.
- Keep stakeholders updated through detailed status reports and documentation.
- Uphold superior customer service and adhere to departmental best practices at all times.
Qualifications:
- 5 – 7+ years of experience handling property claims in the field.
- Direct experience as a staff adjuster with an insurance carrier is required.
- Strong command of Xactimate estimating software.
- Solid knowledge of property insurance forms and coverages.
- Pennsylvania residency is a must.
- Commercial claims experience is a plus.
- Exceptional organization, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s degree is a bonus but not a requirement.
Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $105,000, with potential for up to 20% annual bonus. Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance options, 401(k) plan with employer match, and a robust paid time off program are provided.
