About the role

  • Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the academy’s policies under the direction of the Headteacher.
  • Be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well.
  • Use a range of appropriate strategies and follow Academy policies for teaching/tutoring, behaviour management and classroom management.
  • Starting 1st September 2026.

Who we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or ECT.
  • Evidence of sustained participation in INSET/CPD.
  • Experience of teaching.
  • Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching.
  • Experience of managing teaching resources.
  • Awareness of current developments in Education and the implications of these.
  • Understanding of effective assessment and target setting procedures.
  • Play an important part in the wider safeguarding of children - identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action to safeguard and protect them.
