We are looking for a General Manager for a Community pub. Salary up to £43k plus bonus and a generous benefits package. Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains, operating more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. We are on the lookout for a great General Manager to take charge at the Kings Head, Ashford and lead the team to success!

About the pub:

The Kings Head, Ashford is a sports & events-led community pub with huge potential. It is a lively, wet-led community pub averaging £12k in weekly sales, with an 80/20 split towards wet. This is an exciting opportunity for a sports- and events-led General Manager to take it to the next level. With its growing sports following, and a large enclosed garden with covered, heated areas, this is a pub built for matchdays, events and atmosphere. Inside offers a great bar, dining space, private snug and a pizza deck, while outside trading is a real standout. Located just off the high street and surrounded by housing, the pub attracts lunchtime regulars, families at weekends and a strong evening drinks crowd. There’s huge scope to drive a great rhythm of the week – quizzes, karaoke, live music – and to grow the food/pizza and Sunday offer.

A hands-on, commercially driven General Manager who thrives on sport, energy and community, and knows how to turn occasions into sales. If you’re ready to put your stamp on a sports- and garden-led pub with real growth potential, the King’s Head is ready for you. Management accommodation is available in the form of a 3 bedroomed flat above the pub.
