Job Title: Gym Receptionist
Reports to: General Manager
Purpose:
This position is responsible for overseeing and supervising the fitness facility at Kings Gym during shifts. The individual must solve on-the-job issues using effective critical thinking and decision-making skills. They are responsible for providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members and delivering quality customer service by assisting members with their fitness goals.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing customer service by interacting with members, assisting with queries, selling merchandise, upgrading memberships, educating on equipment use, and answering questions.
- Ensuring the fitness area remains clean and organized, including organizing weights and equipment, disinfecting, and performing basic maintenance checks.
- Supervising the gym floor with regular checks.
- Maintaining a clean workspace behind the counter.
- Upholding Kings Gym policies in conflict management with members and staff.
- Performing opening and closing procedures for the fitness floor and cardio areas.
- Attending mandatory meetings and training sessions.
- Marketing and promoting facilities and programs as directed by the manager.
- Maintaining high performance standards in daily tasks.
- Communicating clearly with members, emergency services, and police when necessary.
- Adhering to all Kings Gym guidelines and responding to reasonable requests from managers or leadership.
- Ensuring members follow Kings Gym policies.
- Understanding of the KGAudit process.
Your KPIs: KPIs will be agreed upon and communicated by your line manager.
Working Hours: 5-8 hours, flexible across Monday to Sunday to ensure effective management of the gym\βs operations.
